Samsung Open Presented by Corner, Lugano
The first tournament was held in 2017, 7 years ago. After just an edition in Biel/Bienne on the hard courts, the event switched city and surface, moving to Lugano on clay courts. The decision was taken for two reasons - the first one was preparing for the clay events, and the second one was that there were very few spectators in Biel.
